REGINA — The City of Regina is extending its warming bus service.
According to its social media, the city will operate a warming bus starting on Monday at 8 p.m. until Tuesday at 9 a.m.
The bus will travel between Nēwo-Yōtina Friendship Centre (1635 11th Avenue), Carmichael Outreach (1510 12th Avenue) and the Awasiw Warming Centre at All Nations Hope (3115 5th Avenue).
A bus operator, an outreach support worker and security will maintain a safe space for those riding the shuttle.
The city has offered a warming bus daily since January 22 due to extreme cold temperatures blanketing the area.
More information on warming spaces available can be found here.
Regina, as of 3 p.m., was included in a cold alert with Environment Canada forecasting wind chills of -35 to -40.
