SASKATOON — A 28-year-old man is recovering in hospital after he was shot during what police describe as an armed robbery early Tuesday.
Saskatoon police were called to St. Paul’s Hospital around 2:30 a.m., on Jan. 27, after the injured man arrived there seeking help. He told officers he had been walking in an alley behind the 2200 block of 22nd Street West just after 2 a.m. when an unknown man confronted him, demanded cash and stole his wallet.
Police say the suspect then shot the victim before fleeing. The man’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, about 6-foot-2 and roughly 230 pounds. He was wearing jeans, a ball cap and a blue hoodie.
