MUSKODAY FIRST NATION — Two men are charged and wanted by Prince Albert RCMP after two people were assaulted on Muskoday First Nation.
On Jan. 24 at around 6:30 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a stabbing at a residence on Muskoday First Nation.
RCMP officers responded immediately along with EMS and STARS. Officers located two adult male victims with injuries consistent with stab wounds. EMS transported one of the victims to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The second victim was transported to hospital by STARS with injuries described as serious. Police say they do not have an update on their conditions.
The investigation determined four suspects wearing masks entered a residence on Muskoday First Nation. Two of the suspects assaulted the victims. All four suspects fled the scene in a vehicle that was later located by police with no occupants inside.
As a result of investigation, 34-year-old Jordan Stonestand, from Muskoday First Nation, and 27-year-old Chance Smith, from Prince Albert, are each charged with:
- two counts, aggravated assault;
- one count, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- one count, break and enter to commit an indictable offence; and
- one count, disguise with intent.
