YORKTON — Sentencing has been handed down to one of two men arrested in Yorkton in a case that resulted in an injury caused by police to one of the suspects.
20-year-old Triston Hunter was in Yorkton Provincial Court Jan. 29, where he received 127 days in jail going forward, to be followed by 12 months of probation.
His co-accused, 22-year-old Tyrone Gott of Mallard, Man., is still wanted on an arrest warrant.
On Sep. 17, Yorkton RCMP received a report about a theft at a store on Broadway Street.
While police were chasing down one of the suspects, a 22-year-old man was hit by a police vehicle, and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
