SASAKTOON — Saskatoon police are investigating after a 65-year-old man was pulled from his vehicle and assaulted during an early-morning robbery on the city’s east side.
Officers were called around 2:40 a.m. on Feb. 2 to a convenience store in the 2400 block of Preston Avenue South. Police say the man was sitting in his 2003 Dodge Caravan when he was approached by an unknown woman who pulled him from the vehicle and assaulted him. She and a second suspect fled in the vehicle. It was later located after colliding with a light pole at Spadina Crescent and Queen Street. A canine track of the area didn’t locate any suspects.
The woman is described as being heavy-set, with long dark hair and wearing a red coat. No description is available for the second suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the SPS at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
