REGINA — A Regina musician charged with sexually assaulting a youth was scheduled to enter an election on Feb. 2 in Regina Provincial Court. Instead, the matter was adjourned to Feb. 17 to be spoken to.
Jeffrey Craig Salkeld, 64, was charged in December 2025 with sexual interference and sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age.
The charge stems from a Regina Police Service investigation into a report that a youth under 16 was touched inappropriately in July 2025.
According to SK Arts website, Salkeld has worked extensively with Sask Express in various roles.
Sask Express cancelled performances of The Hunchback of Notre Dame while it reviewed Salkeld’s involvement with the organization.
In a statement released by its board in December, Sask Express said it became aware of a situation involving an employee that caused “significant concern.” As a result, the organization cancelled upcoming shows “out of an abundance of caution” while the matter was being assessed.
The charges against Salkeld have not been proven in court.
