SASKATOON — Police have arrested a second suspect connected to a weapons incident that occurred in November 2025, following continued investigation by patrol officers.
On Jan. 9, officers were called to an apartment in the Riversdale neighbourhood, in the 500 block of 20th Street West. When they arrived, they located a person who was known to have an outstanding warrant relating to a Nov. 27, 2025 incident where bear spray was deployed inside a suite in the 800 block of Appleby Drive.
The man was arrested and is charged with assault with a weapon, mischief over $5,000, and breaching court-imposed conditions.
The arrest follows an earlier arrest in the same investigation. Around 4 a.m. on Nov. 27, 2025, officers were called to an apartment in the 800 block of Appleby Drive for a report of bear spray being discharged within a unit and a male armed with a handgun. When they arrived, they determined that a confrontation had occurred between persons known to one another resulting in bear spray and an imitation firearm being discharged; the pellet struck a woman causing a non-life-threatening injury. The suspects fled prior to police arrival; however, officers located one of the suspects nearby. He was arrested without incident and found to be in possession of an imitation firearm.
