SASKATOON — Saskatoon Police responded to three separate stabbings that sent three people to hospital early Tuesday morning.
The first call came in around 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 4, when officers were dispatched to a hotel in the 500 block of Idylwyld Drive North. Police say they found a 20-year-old man who had been assaulted and stabbed. He was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. No suspect description was provided.
Two hours later, at about 2:30 a.m., officers were called to St. Paul’s Hospital after a 29-year-old man arrived seeking treatment for a stab wound. Police say he reported the assault happened in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue South. No additional details were provided.
The third incident was reported just after 3 a.m., when police were notified an 18-year-old woman had come to Royal University Hospital with a non-life-threatening stab wound. She told officers she had been attacked around 1:45 a.m. in the 1900 block of 22nd Street West. According to police, she said an unknown man approached her and stabbed her before fleeing. The suspect was described as being in his 30s, about 5-foot-8, wearing a black hat and great sweater.
