REGINA — A 25-year-old man is facing weapons charges after Regina police responded to a report of a man with a firearm at business downtown.
At approximately 1:45 a.m. Friday morning, police got a call that a man was believed to be in possession of a firearm at a business in the 1800 block of Saskatchewan Drive.
Officers arrived on scene, located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. When police searched the suspect they found a firearm.
The man has been charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, possession of a weapon, and carrying a concealed weapon.
He makes his first appearance on these charges in Regina Provincial Court on March 23.
