SOUTHEAST SASKATCHEWAN — Two men who were wanted by the Carnduff RCMP in connection with separate incidents have been arrested and have appeared in court.
Dustin Matthewson, age 39, and Zachary Christopher Hillis, 32, were subjects of wanted person reports issued on a Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers’ Facebook post in early February.
Matthewson was wanted on a warrant from the Carnduff RCMP regarding a break and enter, and theft of a vehicle, that occurred at a property in Carnduff in December 2025.
He appeared in Estevan Provincial Court by phone on Feb. 9. Matthewson said he would represent himself on the charges. His case was adjourned to March 9 so that he could receive and review disclosure. He has been released with conditions.
Hillis was wanted on a warrant for a break and enter that occurred at a residence in Carnduff in January. The post on the Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers' Facebook page says Hillis is also wanted on charges of violating the terms of a release order and violating the terms of a probation order.
Hillis was scheduled to be in Estevan Provincial Court on Feb. 9 to speak to other charges and an upcoming trial slated for March 5, but did not appear. He had 21 charges listed on the court docket for Estevan.
He has since been arrested and was in Carlyle Provincial Court on Feb. 11. He was remanded into custody and will be in Estevan Provincial Court on Feb. 13 for a show-cause hearing to determine if he will receive bail.
The Crown said it is opposed to Hillis’ release and is looking to evoke his previous bail.
