The Saskatchewan Cattle Association wants to hear from producers about the Canadian Food Inspection Agency's (CFIA) proposed changes to traceability regulations.
A pair of open forums are scheduled for this week – one Monday at 2 p.m. from the District Civic Centre in Rosetown, and the other on Friday from the Milestone Masonic Hall in Milestone at 2 p.m.
Livestock producers can ask questions, share feedback, and hear how the potential changes might impact their operation.
The CFIA was set to move forward with the changes until public backlash forced them to pause it for more consultation.
Cattle groups say the changes were related to additional movement requirements, among other things.
