SASKATOON — A 31-year-old man accused of a stabbing another man after an altercation inside a west-side restaurant and lounge has been remanded in custody following a Feb. 12 appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
Dylan Blake Ahenakew is now scheduled back in court on Feb. 23 for a bail hearing.
He is charged with aggravated assault, along with two counts each of possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and mischief.
The charges relate to a Jan. 26 incident when patrol officers found a man with serious injuries at a home in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood. Police say the victim had been involved in a physical altercation with two men inside a restaurant and lounge in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West.
Ahenakew was arrested about five days later after officers saw him get into a taxi in the 200 block of St. Paul's Place. Police say a machete was found in his possession during the arrest.
