Mason Karakochuk had two goals and two assists, and Eric Hoiness added four points as the Nipawin Hawks rolled past the La Ronge Ice Wolves 8–1 Wednesday night.
Karakochuk extended his league-best point streak to eight games, piling up 10 goals and 17 points during that stretch. Hoiness now has seven points in his last three outings and has recorded at least a point in 15 of his past 18 games.
The victory moves Nipawin into sole possession of fourth place — two points back of Yorkton and two ahead of Weyburn.
The Hawks become the fourth team this season to reach the 30-win mark, already 13 wins and 22 points better than last year, with eight games remaining in the regular season.
Gage Roberts stopped 29 shots to earn his 20th win, becoming the third goaltender in the league to hit that milestone.
