REGINA — In what should come as no surprise given the weather overnight, snow routes have been declared in the city of Regina.
From 6 a.m. Feb. 19 to 6 a.m. Feb. 20, no parking is allowed along the snow routes. The snow routes are identified by the blue signage with a white snowflake on it. On those streets no parking is allowed during the 24 hours and vehicles that remain parked will be ticketed.
The city says the parking ban will allow crews to plow the roads from curb to curb, improving traffic flow along the busy roadways. The city says it will help ensure roads are passable for emergency response vehicles.
Residents can find out where snow routes are located by going to the map at Regina.ca/SnowRoutes. Residents can also receive alerts through the city’s Regina Sweep & Plow app or sign up for custom notifications online at Regina.ca/SnowRoutes, and the city says more information can be found on their Facebook and Instagram feeds.
