REGINA — A Regina man charged in connection with a series of break-ins that stretched across Saskatchewan over more than six years has been remanded following his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Feb. 18. His matter returns to court on Feb. 25 to be spoken to.
Michael Arsenault, 57, is charged with 62 counts of break and enter, 12 counts of attempted break and enter with intent, possession of property valued under $5,000 obtained by crime, and possession of property valued over $5,000 obtained by crime.
In May 2025, Saskatchewan RCMP’s South District section dedicated an investigative team and launched a broader investigation into a series of property crimes reported across the district. Investigators identified 74 reports of break-ins they believed to be connected. These reports occurred in 43 communities and the surrounding areas mostly in southern Saskatchewan between September 2019 and February 2026.
