REGINA — A 49-year-old man has been charged following a collision in northeast Regina two months ago that left a pedestrian dead.
Police were called shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 16, 2025, to the area of Kress Street and Longman Crescent for a report that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian. Investigators determined a pickup truck hit a 26-year-old woman who had been walking on the street. The driver remained at the scene and called police.
The woman was taken to hospital by EMS and later died.
After an investigation led by the the Regina Police Service Investigative Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team (ICART), and in consultation with the Crown, charges were laid against the driver.
Kevin Reiger is charged with unlawfully operating a vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable and safe under the Traffic Safety Act. He is scheduled to make his first appearance in Regina Provincial Court on March 30.
