Frost Spokesperson Cat Betker.
Regina’s winter festival, Frost, is into its final weekend and organizers are reminding those who haven’t taken it in yet to see what it’s all about this weekend.
“It is the place to go if you’ve got a family, you’ve got kids, it is the perfect way to get outside,” explained spokesperson Cat Betker. “We’ve got all kinds of incredible outdoor and indoor – a nice mix of weather-proof activities.”
Events take place at Mosaic Stadium, Victoria Park in downtown Regina, and at Wascana Park. One of the new activities this year has been wildly popular amongst festival-goers.
“We’ve got a mechanical snowboard, which has been a huge hit. A huge lineup out the door for that,” noted Betker.
Other activities include cross country skiing, snowshoeing, crokicurl, and the “blizzard bounce” at Mosaic Stadium. CLICK HERE to view locations and start times for each event as Frost begins to wind down this weekend.
The weather has been remarkably mild for the winter festival, however this weekend will be quite frosty for Frost. Environment Canada says Saturday will be mainly sunny with a high of -19 and Sunday will be sunny with a high of -17.
