SASKATOON — Two men charged in a large-scale fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine investigation remain in custody and are seeking bail.
Jaskaran Singh and Gurliyakat Singh each face eight drug trafficking and two possession of the proceeds of crime offences
Gurliyakat Singh appeared in court on Feb. 20 and was remanded. He has a bail hearing set for Feb. 25. Jaskaran Singh appeared on Feb. 18 and he was also remanded. His bail hearing is scheduled for Feb. 25.
The arrests occurred Feb. 12. At about 3 p.m., members of the Saskatoon Crime Reduction Team arrested a 22-year-old man in the 1000 block of Albert Avenue after locating fentanyl on him. A second man, age 20, was arrested minutes later in the 400 block of Tait Court.
With support from the Tactical Support Unit, officers executed search warrants at residences on Albert Avenue, Tait Court, Tucker Crescent, and in the 100 block of 112th Street West.
Investigators seized 1,954 grams of fentanyl, 5,514 grams of methamphetamine, 908 grams of cocaine, 10,250 ml GHB, $33,965 in Canadian currency, drug paraphernalia and forged driver’s licenses.
