SASKATOON — A 50-year-old man is facing multiple weapons charges after officers responded to a report of an individual carrying knives at a west-side bus stop Friday afternoon.
Police were called around 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 20 to the area of 20th Street West and Avenue O South after it was reported that a male was seen at a bus stop in possession of two knives.
When police arrived, they learned the man had boarded a bus. As they continued to investigate, they also boarded the bus and located the suspect, who was brandishing two knives. He was taken into custody without incident. Police say a third knife was found concealed in his pants during the arrest.
He is charged with three counts of possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and breach of court-imposed conditions.
