SASKATOON — A woman is facing charges after an attempted stabbing in a west-side apartment building on Saturday evening.
Police say they were called around 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 21 to an apartment unit in the 100 block of Avenue X South for a report of an attempted stabbing. The suspect had reportedly fled the unit before officers arrived.
According to police, officers found a woman matching the suspect description in the lobby of the building, where she was arrested without incident. Investigators determined the woman had attempted to stab the victim before a struggle ensued and the victim disarmed her. Police say the two were known to each other.
A 29-year-old woman is charged with assault with a weapon.
