MELFORT — A Hudson Bay man arrested in connection with a firearm trafficking investigation has appeared in court again.
Steven Bondy, 57, was in Melfort Court of King’s Bench on Feb. 23, where he was remanded in custody to March 23.
In March 2024, RCMP raided a home in the Hudson Bay area and seized 40 rifles, two handguns, about 20 more firearms in various states of disassembly, and more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition.
Police also confiscated illegal cigarettes, mint coins and gold jewelry believed to be stolen, as well as small amounts of cocaine and crystal meth.
