REGINA — Four people charged in the death of Michael Ross were back in Regina Provincial Court, with a no contact order issued between the accused.
On Feb. 18, Steven Myslichuk, 37, was ordered not communicate with the accused. Myslichuk is charged with assisting a person he knew had murdered Ross to escape, and interfering with human remains. His matter is scheduled to return to court on March 4 to be spoken to.
Shyla Keewatin, 33, appeared on Feb. 19. Her case was adjourned to Feb. 26 to be spoken to. She is charged with first-degree murder and committing an indignity to a body.
Destin Doherty, 30, was was in court on Feb. 11. His next appearance is set for Feb. 25, when he is expected to enter an election. He is charged with committing an indignity to a dead body and accessory after the fact to murder.
Kobe Fiddler, 27, last appeared on Feb. 13. His matter was adjourned to Feb. 27 to be spoken to. He is charged with interfering with human remains by transporting a body in a hockey bag, fleeing from police, assisting the killer of Ross to escape, concealing a pellet gun, and possessing a firearm while prohibited.
All four remain in custody.
According to Regina Police Service, officers attempted a traffic stop near Saskatchewan Drive and Albert Street around 3 a.m. on Jan. 19. The vehicle fled and was later located by the Aerial Support Unit in the 1400 block of Princess Street.
The occupants had escaped, but officers found a man’s body inside the trunk.
Investigators later secured a residence in the Pioneer Village area, in the 3700 block of Dewdney Avenue, as part of the ongoing investigation.
