SASKATOON — Saskatoon police are investigating an assault involving bear spray at a west-side business.
At about 9 p. m. on Feb. 23, officers were called to the 200 block of Betts Avenue after two women were reported acting suspiciously and believed to be attempted to shoplift. When a loss prevention officer confronted them, one of the suspects used the bear spray against him before fleeing without taking any items.
The 43-year-old security guard was treated for his injuries.
