As we celebrate 100 years of CKRM, one of Saskatchewan's most storied radio stations, we are pleased to present a series of nine stories featuring icons of CKRM.
Our next Icon is Lorne Harasen. Lorne talks about his broadcasting start at CJGX Yorkton, his move to CKCK Regina, and the creation of his open line host career.
He brought the “Harasen Line” with him to CKRM in 1978 and kept it going until his retirement in 1995.
In the video below, Lorne talks about the politicians, celebrities, and, of course, the good people of Saskatchewan he interviewed along the way. He also recalls times with co-workers and the partnership with the Riders. He is an Icon of CKRM, the broadcast industry and the province.
