LA RONGE and CREIGHTON — Community Futures Visions North has announced Bruce Fidler has been appointed to the Community Futures Saskatchewan Board of Directors. Fidler, Mayor of Creighton, has served on the Visions North Board since 2016, representing the Town of Creighton.
He has nearly three decades of municipal leadership experience.
“Bruce’s dedication to our region has been evident for decades,” says Terry DesRoches, board chair of Community Futures Visions North.
“His insight into the North’s unique economic landscape will be a significant asset to the Community Futures Saskatchewan board.”
Fidler’s appointment ensures that the voices of Northern entrepreneurs remain central to the provincial dialogue on economic diversification, a press release states.
“I am honoured to take on this role,” said Bruce Fidler. “Having served with Visions North for nearly a decade, I’ve seen firsthand how vital these programs are for our local business owners. I look forward to supporting the spirit of entrepreneurship across Saskatchewan.”
