REGINA — Applications and nominations for the 2026 ABEX Awards are officially open, inviting organizations across the province to showcase their achievements. The submission period runs until April 1, at 11:59 p.m., giving companies, entrepreneurs and community leaders the chance to be recognized at this year’s gala.
For more than 40 years, the ABEX Awards have celebrated the businesses driving Saskatchewan’s economy, from fast-growing startups to long-established industry leaders. Introduced in 1984 by the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, the awards have become the highest honour a business in the province can receive, highlighting innovation, resilience, community impact and economic contribution.
This year’s awards include new categories to reflect today’s business landscape, including the Indigenous Business Leadership Award and the Workplace Excellence Award, along with refined judging criteria across all categories.
Winning an ABEX Award can elevate a business’s reputation across the province. Finalists and recipients gain exposure through digital promotion, media coverage and on-stage recognition at the ABEX Awards Gala in September 2026. Past honourees have been celebrated for achievements in marketing, innovation, community involvement, sustainability and entrepreneurship.
“ABEX Awards offer a snapshot of where Saskatchewan is headed,” explained Prabha Ramaswamy, CEO of the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce. “The businesses and individuals recognized are redefining what’s possible. Through bold innovation, strong economic contributions, and meaningful community impact, they show us the future of Saskatchewan business.”
The awards are open to all businesses operating in Saskatchewan, and a Chamber membership is not required to apply or nominate. Companies can submit applications in multiple categories or nominate a deserving business to encourage participation.
Key dates include announcements of finalists the week of June 15, 2026, followed by winners revealed at the ABEX Awards Gala on Sept. 26 at TCU Place in Saskatoon.
From industry-leading companies to emerging ventures, the ABEX Awards continue to celebrate the diversity, creativity and resilience of Saskatchewan’s business community. Applications and nominations are now open on the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce website.
“The ABEX Awards have always been about recognizing the incredible talent and dedication within Saskatchewan’s business community. It’s inspiring to see how our award recipients are making a positive impact and setting new standards for excellence in their fields,” expressed Ramaswamy.
