LLOYDMINSTER — Lloydminster RCMP arrested a 41-year-old man after police say he tried to sell stolen jewellery at a local business Thursday.
Police were called around 5 p.m. on Feb. 26 after staff reported a man trying to sell what appeared to be a stolen piece of jewellery. Officers responded and arrested the suspect they identified as prolific offender Dayton Albert Littlewolfe of no fixed address.
Littlewolfe has been charged with trafficking property obtained by crime valued over $5,000.
He was held in custody but police say he was released on Feb. 27 after a judicial hearing. He is scheduled to appear in court next on March 10.
The 'Hall of Fame" ring has been recovered by police but multiple items of jewellery remain missing. Police have obtained photos of some of the missing jewellery items, which are being shared with the public.
