REGINA — The Saskatchewan Health Authority and Capital Crossing Assisted Living and Memory Care have reached an agreement for Saskatchewan Health Authority to lease the Capital Crossing building and assume operations of the 139 long-term care spaces later this year.
Together, the Saskatchewan Health Authority and Brightwater Management Team will work to transfer operations while ensuring continuity of care for residents and families, states a release from the SHA. A staffing transition plan is currently under development, with no immediate changes at this time.
“Our collective goal is continued, high-quality care for long-term care residents and their families,” said Derek Miller, SHA Chief Operating Officer. “This transition is being designed to ensure stability for residents and families, while strengthening the integration of these existing spaces within Saskatchewan’s publicly operated long-term care system.”
