REGINA — An app launched by a Regina couple is designed to save people time on everyday tasks.
MyLifeCatcher is an app where users can utilize notes, recipe lists, meal plans, etc., all in one space.
“It not only consolidates information, but it [also] collapses the number of apps on your phone,” noted Rick Larson, chief revenue officer of MyLifeCatcher.
The idea behind the app came from Larson's experience with his partner, Raelynn Douglas, CEO of MyLifeCatcher, and having to juggle their kids’ activities and meal prepping.
“We thought, is there a way of better communicating amongst partners about what needs to be done to manage the home? What are the meals being made, the events being planned?” noted Douglas.
MyLifeCatcher has helped the pair save hours from organizing and task management.
The process to launch MyLifeCatcher then started 18 months ago, when the app was kick-started through Cultivator, a business incubator based in Regina.
Douglas said the program provided the pair with great feedback.
“We sent out a survey to about 500 other busy moms to say, if you had a solution like this, what would it be? So we got some pretty good feedback as a result of the requirements of that program.”
After months of development, the app launched in September 2025.
Currently, Douglas said they’re closing in on their 500th subscriber.
“We're starting to see it get some of that traction,” said Douglas.
Recently, MyLifeCatcher has added new features, including e-cards.
“You can send a thank you, a birthday, an anniversary [e-card] to someone [to show] you're thinking about them,” said Larson.
In the future, the pair plans to add calendar connections and work on partnerships with companies on time-saving tools.
