The Saskatchewan Roughriders have got the entire province talking with their latest job opening. The organization is looking for their next Gainer the Gopher, the most famous mascot in the Canadian Football League.
As with any job opening, there’s criteria that interested applicants should meet. First off, you can’t be scared of large crowds, you’ve got to have lots of energy, enthusiasm, and personality. Applicants must be good with children and families, a confident improvisor while being non-verbal, and be able to handle the physical demands of being Gainer.
According to the Saskatchewan Roughriders, your audition video should be 3 to 5 minutes in length showing your personality and how you’d approach the job of being Gainer the Gopher. The organization wants to see how you would engage with the crowd and how you’ll let your personality shine.
There are a few requirements for all applicants which includes being at least 18, a Saskatchewan-only resident, passing a criminal record check, and passing a vulnerable sector check.
