PRINCE ALBERT — A man and woman are facing multiple charges after Prince Albert police tracked a stolen ride-share vehicle across the city Thursday afternoon.
Police were called around 1:40 p.m. on March 5 to the 2600 block of 2nd Avenue West for a report that a vehicle had been stolen at gunpoint. Investigators learned four people were taking a ride-share when one of them allegedly pulled a firearm and ordered the driver out of the vehicle.
Through initial investigation, officers were able to track the stolen vehicle as it moved through the city. It was later disabled on Kemp Crescent.
Shortly after, an officer located one of the suspects in the unit block of Bowerman Crescent where he was arrested without further incident.
The Prince Albert Police Service Emergency Response Team (ERT) attended Kemp Crescent to assist and a man and woman were arrested without further incident. A search of the stolen vehicle and involved residence on Kemp Crescent did not result in police locating any items of evidentiary value.
A 26-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and robbery with violence. Both are scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on March 6.
