REGINA — Regina’s EMF Market is set to close down soon.
In a statement sent to SaskToday, Maria Fiorante, owner of EMF Market Mall located at 1217 Broad Street, explained that a business had long sought to lease the space.
“My husband and I thought about it and decided to accept.”
A Facebook post from the Break Free Outreach Ministers confirmed they’ll be opening a second-hand and home store at the space on May 1.
Originally, the market opened in March 2025 to provide vendors and small businesses with exposure following the closure of the Centennial Market.
In 2024, Centennial closed due to the building not meeting safety codes, said Regina Fire and Protective Services.
“After they closed, I thought [to myself], ‘why don't we give this a try,” said Fiorante in an interview last year.
The market featured dozens of vendors offering items, including jewelry, toys, books, and various accessories.
Fiorante said the EMF Market will close on March 28.
