The Riders announced Monday that they have signed American offensive lineman Dartanyan Tinsley.
Tinsley, listed at six-foot-four and 320 pounds, signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2025 and appeared in one pre-season game with the club.
Before turning pro, Tinsley spent two seasons (2020–21) at Kentucky Christian University before transferring to the Cincinnati Bearcats football team. During his three seasons with Cincinnati from 2022 to 2024, he played in 30 games and started all 21 contests over his final two seasons.
Tinsley was considered one of the top guards in the Big 12 and helped Cincinnati rank fifth in the nation in rushing in 2023, averaging 217 yards per game. The Bearcats ran for more than 200 yards in nine of their 13 games that season.
In 2024, Cincinnati averaged 421 yards of total offence per game and produced a 1,000-yard rusher in Corey Kiner for the second straight season.
During his time at Kentucky Christian, Tinsley earned First-Team All-Mid-South Conference Appalachian Division honours in back-to-back seasons and was also named First-Team All–National Christian College Athletic Association in his first year with the program.
