SASKATOON — A 36-year-old man is facing several firearms-related charges after officers with the Saskatoon Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant on the city's east side on March 6.
Police say members of the unit, supported by the Tactical Support Unit and the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team, carried out enforcement action on March 6 at a home in the 2300 block of Williams Avenue as part of an ongoing firearms investigation. One man was arrested at the scene.
Police seized a Rock Island M1911 A1FS .45 calibre handgun, a Glock 9mm handgun, a 3D-printed Glock-style 9mm handgun (fully operational; prohibited), 9mm ammunition, .45 calibre ammunition, and cell phones.
The man has been charged with several firearms-related offences.
