Update: The dangerous person alert for Weyburn has been lifted.
In a message on its Facebook page, the Weyburn Police Service said the subject was arrested without incident and there is no longer any danger to the public. The WPS said it thanks everyone for their patience in this matter.

WEYBURN — An active police operation occurred March 11 in the 800-block of Fifth Street in Weyburn.
The Weyburn Police Service said it was asking the public to avoid the area as the police operation is underway. Motorists and pedestrians were asked to find another route. The WPS said residents in the area should lock their doors and shelter in place, unless otherwise directed by police.
