SASKATOON — Three people are facing weapons and drug charges after Saskatoon police responded to a report of a firearm in a north-end parking lot Tuesday evening.
Patrol officers were called around 5:45 p.m. on March 10 to the Kelsey-Woodlawn area in the 1800 block of Idylwyld Drive North, where a caller reported seeing a man unlawfully getting into a vehicle. Police say the suspect produced what appeared to be a firearm when confronted, then fled in a different vehicle.
Officers located that vehicle a short time later and detained the occupants for a weapons investigation. A search of the vehicle turned up a shotgun with ammunition, an imitation firearm, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.
Two 36-year-old men and a 29-year-old woman are charged with several weapons and drug-related offences.
