REGINA BEACH — Saskatchewan conservation officers are asking the public to share any information they may have related to the burning down of an ice fishing shelter on Last Mountain Lake.
According to the RCMP Crime Watch Advisory, on March 14, at approximately 12:30 p.m. conservation officers received a report of an ice fishing shelter on fire on Last Mountain Lake near Regina Beach.
The ice fishing shelter is described as a white aluminum-sided Vanguard slide-in/truck camper. An older white four-door long box truck, with body rust, and with either a generator or welder in the truck bed was observed towing the ice fishing shelter prior to it being unhooked and the truck driving away. Moments later, the shelter was observed fully engulfed in flames. The burnt debris was left on the ice of Last Mountain Lake, states the advisory.
Officers are looking for the public's assistance in identifying the ownership of the ice fishing shelter and the described vehicle. If you have information related to this advisory please call your local conservation officer or the Saskatchewan Turn In Poachers & Polluters line at 1-800-667-7561.
