THUNDERCHILD FIRST NATION —Turtleford RCMP have charged a man after weapons and illicit drugs were seized.
Turtleford RCMP have charged a male with more than 20 offences after seizing firearms, weapons, methamphetamine, crack cocaine and cocaine from a residence on Thunderchild First Nation.
On March 4, Turtleford RCMP executed a search warrant at the residence as part of an ongoing investigation.
Officers located and seized:
– a loaded handgun;
– an illegally-modified firearm;
– numerous firearm parts, including a loaded barrel that was capable of firing;
– thousands of rounds of ammunition;
– a butterfly knife;
– nun chucks;
– approximately 400 grams of suspected methamphetamine;
– approximately 33 grams of crack cocaine; and
– approximately 26 grams of suspected cocaine.
– one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine);
– one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (crack cocaine);
– one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine);
– one count, trafficking (methamphetamine);
– one count, trafficking (crack cocaine);
– one count, trafficking (cocaine);
– two counts, possession of a restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition;
– three counts, unauthorized possession of a firearm;
– three counts, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
– three counts, unsafe storage of a firearm;
– one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
– three counts, possession of a weapon contrary to order; and
– one count, tampering with a serial number.
