Canada's Farm Show announced recipients of its own version of innovation awards.
The Innovators Recognition Program recognizes "individuals making an impact across the agriculture sector" with "ideas, technologies and initiatives helping agriculture evolve, from on-farm innovation to strengthening connections between agriculture and the broader community."
The Innovation Program "recognizes new products and solutions…where exhibitors present technologies and services new to the market that demonstrate advancements for farmers and the agriculture industry."
The recipients under the Innovators Recognition Program are:
- Emerging Innovator: Darby Kreitz, founder of Red Leaf Pulp
- Visionary Innovator: Cherilyn Jolly-Nagel, farmer, speaker and agricultural advocate
- Community Innovator: The Doolie Project, led by Janel Delage of Delage Farms
- Farmer Innovator: Danyka Scott, co-owner of Land & Sky Grains
Winners under the Innovation Program are:
- New Equipment Innovation: The Equalizer Air Tine Drill & Infinite Agronomy Air Cart by Lemken Canada
- New Technology Innovation: John Deere X9 Split Frame Concave – MAD Concaves by Bushel Plus
- New Services Innovation: ForwardProtect, Agrienhance and Farmelevate by Agi3 Risk Services
“Innovation is essential to keeping agriculture competitive and resilient,” said Trent Fraser, Acting President and Chief Executive Officer of Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL). “Programs like this help recognize both the people and the technologies that are pushing the industry forward and delivering practical solutions for farmers.”
The winners were announced during the Canada's Farm Show Welcome Reception Monday night.
