SASKATOON — A man and woman are facing charges after staff at a west-side store were threatened with what appeared to be a firearm during an attempted theft Monday morning.
Saskatoon police were called around 8:30 a.m. on March 16 to a business in the 400 block of Confederation Drive. According to investigators, a man and woman were attempting to steal merchandise when employees confronted them. The pair allegedly responded by threatening staff with a gun before fleeing on foot.
Officers located the suspect nearby and a CO2 pistol was recovered. No one was physically injured in the incident.
A 53-year-old Saskatoon woman is charged with nine offences including robbery, pointing a firearm and obstruction.
A 29-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with robbery and breach of probation.
