The 2026 Prairie Football Conference schedule is set.
The CJFL and PFC unveiled their upcoming season this week, with the opening weekend set for August 8-9. The schedule kicks off Saturday night in Edmonton, where the Huskies host the Calgary Colts, before the rest of the conference hits the field Sunday.
That includes the defending Canadian Bowl champion Saskatoon Hilltops, who begin their title defence on the road in Winnipeg against the Rifles. The Regina Thunder also open away from home, travelling to Edmonton to face the Wildcats on August 9th.
The regular season runs through October 4th, with each of the conference’s six teams playing an eight-game schedule. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, beginning with the semifinals the following weekend, before the PFC championship game on October 16th.
One of the key dates on the calendar comes in mid-September.
Rivalry Week begins Saturday, September 12th, highlighted by a rematch of last year’s PFC final, with the Thunder hosting the Hilltops under the lights. The two heavyweights will meet again two weeks later, when Saskatoon returns the favour at SMF Field on September 26th.
The winner of the Prairie Conference will advance to the CJFL national semifinal on the weekend of October 24th, where they will face the Ontario champion.
The 2026 Canadian Bowl is scheduled for November 7th and will be hosted by the BC Conference.
