SASKATOON — Saskatoon police have arrested a 17-year-old male in connection with the city’s second homicide of 2026.
The youth, who can’t be identified due to the Youth Justice Criminal Act, is charged with second-degree murder, using a firearm while committing an indictable offence, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. on March 14, Saskatoon police responded to a shooting in the 900 block of 22nd Street West.
When officers arrived, they located a 49-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
