RED SERGE TIP
If you’re ever unsure whether to call 911, ask yourself this simple question: “Do I need help right now, or could this wait until I’ve finished my coffee?”
If it can wait, it’s likely not a 911 call.
911 is for emergencies—situations where life, safety, or property is at immediate risk. Accidentally locking yourself out of the house, needing directions, or hearing a strange noise three hours ago are best handled by the non-emergency line.
Help us help you—keeping 911 lines clear ensures emergency responders can get to those who truly need them, when every second counts. For non-emergent matters, contact the Cut Knife Detachment at 306-398-3500 or call 310-RCMP (310-7267), a dedicated 24/7 non-emergency phone line for the RCMP.
Persons with information about crimes being committed in the Unity / Wilkie/ Macklin/ Cut Knife areas are urged to call the Unity RCMP detachment at 306-228-6300; the Wilkie RCMP at 306-843-3480; the Macklin RCMP at 306-753-2171; or the Cut Knife RCMP at 306-398-3500. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may also call Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or *8477 on the SaskTel Mobility Network.
