ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service is currently investigating an incident in which it says an individual is believed to have experienced a significantly adverse reaction following consumption of illicit drugs.
According to the EPS, evidence was found at the scene. The investigation is ongoing and the EPS says chemical analysis of the substance, believed to be cocaine, will be completed at the RCMP National Forensic Laboratory.
Pending confirmation of chemical composition, the EPS is cautioning the public about the potential for harmful, unknown substances being present in illicit or recreational drugs.
The EPS did not provide information on the individual's condition.
