SASKATOON — A 39-year-old man is facing several weapons and property-related charges after Saskatoon police seized weapons and identification documents during an arrest in Confederation area late Tuesday night.
Police were called shortly before 11 p.m. on March 17 to the 2400 block of 22nd Street West for a report of a man carrying bear spray and a machete. Patrol officers searched the area and found a suspect matching the description in the 100 block of Whitney Avenue South.
Officers arrested him without incident. A search turned up bear spray, a baseball bat, a sharp-edged weapon, two pry bars, a hammer, and multiple identity documents.
He was charged with three counts each of possession of a dangerous weapon and carrying a concealed weapon, as well as possession of break and enter tools and possession of identity documents. He was also found to be breaching court-imposed conditions and had two warrants for his arrest.
