SASKATOON — Three people are facing a total of 16 charges following a report of a firearm being pointed yesterday.
Shortly before 11 a.m. on March 18, members of Saskatoon Police Service Patrol and the Warrant Enforcement Unit responded to a report of a firearm being pointed at another person. As officers were responding, additional information was reported that the suspect had left the scene in a vehicle.
The vehicle was later observed in the 600 block of Avenue H South where a traffic stop was conducted and a 32-year-old woman was arrested. Through continued investigation, another woman, age 25, and a 27-year-old man were also found to be involved and were located and arrested nearby.
Following their arrests, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit attended to the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, police seized a prohibited sawed-off .22 calibre shotgun, 0.23 grams of methamphetamine, 18.91 grams of fentanyl, $456 CAD, and assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
