Not to often you hear about a fundraiser giving away an airplane as part of a community fundraiser, but Assiniboia Spring Fever lotto is doing just that.
For the past 31 years the organizers of the Assiniboia Spring Fever lotto has been making thousands of Saskatchewanians a little wealthier while helping fund local projects at the same time. This year, the money raised will support a number of projects around their new arena and throughout the community of Assiniboia. In the past, the lottery has supported the construction of the new Southland Co-op Centre Arena which is located in the centre of Assiniboia and home to the Rebels hockey teams, among many other kids teams.
Grand prize winners have an option of $150,000, two new vehicles from Nelson GM, various farm packages from local farm machinery dealerships, or an airplane supplied by Aircraft Canada Inc of Calgary. So far, no one has chosen the airplane pack, but it usually creates quite a buzz regardless.
This year’s early bird prize is $5,o00 or a three-day fishing trip to Twin Falls Lodge on the Churchill River in Northern Saskatchewan. The lodge is located between Mountain and Otter Lakes and is home to world-class walleye and northern pike fishing.
Those who buy tickets before March 21st, 2026 will be in for 85 draws because the first 30 draws will be made Sunday, March 22nd at 2pm. After Sunday, there will be 55 chances to win.
