NORTH BATTLEFORD —A North Battleford man remains in custody as his case proceeds to trial.
Blaisen Nicotine’s charges were transferred from North Battleford Provincial Court on March 18 to Battleford Court of King’s Bench, where a trial date will be set.
Nicotine faces charges of sexual assault, making child pornography, distributing child pornography, and possessing child pornography.
According to court documents, one of the alleged incidents occurred in a school bathroom, where Nicotine is accused of exposing himself to a person under 16 for a sexual purpose and inviting them to touch him. He is additionally charged with sexual assault, making child pornography, distributing child pornography, and possessing child pornography.
In a second incident, he is charged with sexual assault of another victim under 16 in November 2024. In that incident he is also charged with making child pornography, possessing child pornography and distributing child pornography, and communicating with a person under the age of 18 for the purpose facilitating a sexual offence to make child pornography.
A publication ban is in place to protect the identities of the victims.
