REGINA — The Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Councils (OSAC) Performing Arts in Schools Program is presenting DuffleBag Theatre, touring to 23 Saskatchewan schools in all corners of the province April 13 to May 4.
The “nearly world-famous” DuffleBag Theatre adapts fairy tales and classic stories using members of the audience in the main parts, thereby creating a spontaneous and energizing theatre experience for audiences of all ages. Since the whole audience participates during the show as well, the results are captivating and hilarious.
DuffleBag Theatre has been performing since 1992, starting at the London International Children’s Festival in London, Ont. Now based in Toronto, DuffleBag performs over 600 shows a year, across Canada, the United States and internationally.
The tour kicks off April 13 in Regina at Ecole Connaught Community School, followed by performances in Moosomin, Yorkton, Kamsack, Hudson Bay and several northern communities and continues with shows in central and northwestern areas, wrapping up in the Southwest, with the final show May 4 in Moose Jaw at Coteau Hills Elementary.
