PINEHOUSE LAKE — Pinehouse RCMP are investigating a shooting that left two people injured and has led to charges against a youth suspect.
Police say officers responded March 21 at about 9:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting at a residence in Pinehouse Lake.
The investigation determined an interaction occurred between a group of individuals at the home. During the altercation, a firearm was discharged, injuring two people.
Both victims were taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
As a result of the investigation, RCMP have charged a male youth under the age of 18 with two counts of aggravated assault, along with several other offences. Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, he cannot be identified.
Police say the youth is currently wanted on a warrant.

RCMP said the public will be notified if an imminent risk to safety is identified.
